Vancouver city council has approved a rezoning application from Holborn Group that will allow construction of the city's three tallest towers, including a 79-storey building with a public observation deck.
Supporters on council praised the design and its inclusion of more than 1,500 housing units along with a hotel and public amenities, while dissenting councillors questioned the timing and Holborn's record at its Little Mountain housing site.
There is no confirmed construction timeline, and the developer may need to adjust building heights depending on aviation-related guidance from Nav Canada.
