Ontario Tech University has announced its major scholarship recipients for the 2026-2027 academic year, recognizing seven students for outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.
Topping the list is the Chancellor's Scholarship, worth $36,000 over four years, followed by two President's Scholarships worth $30,000 each and two Founder's Scholarships worth $24,000 each.
One student earned a $12,000 FIRST Robotics Canada award for contributions to robotics and STEM outreach, while another was named the recipient of the university's Global Leadership Award, an international scholarship valued at $120,000.
Other honourees included recipients recognized for combining strong grade point averages with volunteer work, athletics, and involvement in student government, reflecting the university's emphasis on well-rounded achievement rather than academics alone.
University officials said the scholarship program is designed to reward students who demonstrate both intellectual promise and a commitment to giving back, with the awards intended to help ease financial pressure as tuition and living costs continue to rise across Canada.
